Vallouise Base Camp – Ecrins National Park
In Vallouise, skiing and all winter "outdoor" activities benefit from a truly exceptional playground. The configuration of the highest peaks of the Alps that surround us, at over 4000 m altitude, provides us with slopes with very good snow quality, in a most preserved environment.
Alpine skiing & snowboarding
Near the house, the PELVOUX-VALLOUISE FAMILY RESORT. The area extends from 1250 m to 2300 m above sea level. You can hurtle down the 25 km of downhill slopes spread over 19 runs, ideal for getting back into shape!
We are 15 minutes from the PUY ST VINCENT STATIONFrom 1400 m to 2700 m above sea level, you will find what you are looking for with 34 downhill runs spread over 75 km (the longest being 5 km), a boardercross, a snowpark, 3 runs illuminated at night and 3 toboggan runs for your children.
For the most enthusiastic and experienced, the largest areas of the Southern Alps are less than 45 minutes from us. A beautiful day on KNIGHT'S SERRE, to test yourself a little on the Luc Alphand slope or more discreetly on the Casse du Boeuf? Want a change of scenery for a “walking” ski and find yourself having lunch in Italy, hop, direction MONTGENEVRE. Do you want to try your hand at high-speed skiing? The Chabrières ski speed world record track is accessible to you on the ski area of VARS for a unique experience.
Cross-country skiing and ski touring
La PELVOUX-VALLOUISE FAMILY RESORT offers cross-country skiing circuits in the plain and along the torrents on marked and marked trails for all levels over a length of 35 km. All the information on Nordic skiing in Vallouise is available on the website of NORDIC IN VALLOUISE.
Ski touring is a discipline that is developing rapidly in the valley. You can learn it safely and independently on the marked route of the PUY ST VINCENT STATION, or be accompanied by professional guides from the valley.
For Freeride enthusiasts, the possibilities are immense: make an appointment with the many guides in the valley to accompany you in complete safety.
Icefalls
The Vallouise Valley and the adjacent valleys are hotspots for this very special practice that is ice climbing. As proof, a Festival dedicated to this practice is held every year, allowing introductory or advanced courses in a very festive atmosphere, it is THE ICE ECRINS FESTIVAL
Sleigh dogs
An unforgettable experience to share with family or to live alone, the discovery of sled dogs in the wildest corners of the valley, accessible to all. The team MUSHING ADDICT will introduce you to the pleasure of this sport in an exceptional preserved setting. A must during your stay.
Access and Transport
In winter, shuttles are set up to travel between the different resorts in the valley. You will find information on transport on the tourist office website COUNTRY OF ECRINS
If you are traveling by car, we remind you that special winter equipment (snow tires, chains, etc.) is mandatory (and recommended!) in the department of Hautes-Alpes from the beginning of November.
You wish to come by public transport from Paris or Marseille: TGV + Shuttle solutions are in place, to be consulted in particular on the site SNOWEXPRESS.
